HAZARDOUS WEATHER...

 * SNOW SHOWERS ENDING EARLY THIS EVENING.

 * INTENSE SNOW BURST AROUND 6 PM NEAR I-96 AND 8 PM NEAR I-94.

 * TOTAL SNOW 1 TO 3 INCHES.

 * GUSTY WINDS IN THE LATE THIS AFTERNOON WILL RESULT IN BLOWING
   SNOW.

IMPACTS...

 * HAZARDOUS TRAVEL FROM MID MORNING THROUGH EARLY EVENING.

 * ACCIDENTS AND SLIDEOFFS DUE TO SLIPPERY ROADS AND LOW
   VISIBILITIES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

 * THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REMINDS MOTORISTS
   TO ADJUST SPEEDS BASED ON THE CONDITIONS... AND TO TAKE IT
   SLOW IN ICE AND SNOW.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST LOWER
MICHIGAN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT

TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY HAZARDOUS BEFORE AND
DURING THE EVENING COMMUTE. QUICK BURSTS OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW
ARE EXPECTED WITH VISIBILITIES DROPPING TO A FEW CAR LENGTHS OR
LESS. MOST SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR OVERNIGHT WITH ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS OF
4 TO 8 INCHES NEAR THE LAKESHORE.

STRONGER WINDS AND FALLING TEMPERATURES BEGINNING THIS EVENING
WILL PRODUCE VERY COLD WIND CHILLS WITH TIMES TO FROSTBITE FROM
EXPOSED SKIN DROPPING TO 30 MINUTES OR LESS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY

LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW WILL PERSIST ALONG LAKE MICHIGAN SATURDAY AND
INTO SATURDAY NIGHT. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL FROM HOLLAND SOUTH
DOWN THE LAKESHORE.

VERY COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CONTINUE SATURDAY. THIS WILL BE FOLLOWED
BY A VERY COLD SUNDAY MORNING WITH LOW TEMPERATURES AROUND ZERO.
