THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST LOWER
MICHIGAN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

MINOR FLOODING OF LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS MAY OCCUR
TODAY DUE TO WIDESPREAD RAINFALL OF AN INCH OR MORE AND THE
MELTING OF THE RECENT SNOWFALL.

THERE WILL BE A CHANCE OF A THUNDERSTORM EARLY THIS MORNING ALONG
AND SOUTHEAST OF INTERSTATE 69. SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED.

SOUTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO INCREASE LATER THIS MORNING AND
THIS AFTERNOON. THE STRONGEST WINDS WILL BE FURTHER SOUTHEAST
TOWARD BATTLE CREEK...LANSING...AND JACKSON. WIND GUSTS OF 45 MPH
WILL BE LIKELY...WHICH WILL CAUSE SOME SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES AND
BROKEN TREE BRANCHES.

RAIN WILL CHANGE OVER TO SNOW LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY THIS
EVENING. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE...ESPECIALLY FURTHER
NORTHWEST TOWARD LUDINGTON...BALDWIN...AND PENTWATER THIS EVENING
AND THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED
AND SLIPPERY. SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL ALSO BE
POSSIBLE...MAINLY NEAR THE LAKESHORE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA ON TUESDAY
MORNING...BEFORE DIMINISHING TUESDAY AFTERNOON. ROADS WILL REMAIN
SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY.

 * WINDS OF 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH ARE EXPECTED THROUGH
   THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.

 * WINDS WILL DIMINISH IN THE EVENING.

 * SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES WILL BE POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA.

 * SMALL TREE BRANCHES COULD BREAK AND FALL.

  SYCAMORE CREEK AT HOLT AFFECTING INGHAM COUNTY
  LOOKING GLASS RIVER NEAR EAGLE AFFECTING CLINTON COUNTY
  FLAT RIVER NEAR SMYRNA AFFECTING IONIA COUNTY
  ROGUE RIVER BELOW ROCKFORD AFFECTING KENT COUNTY

.RADAR ESTIMATES A QUARTER TO A HALF INCH OF RAIN HAS FALLEN AS OF
9:30 PM EST SUNDAY...WITH SOME HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER THE KALAMAZOO
RIVER BASIN. WIDESPREAD LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN WILL CONTINUE
OVERNIGHT AND INTO MONDAY WITH AN ADDITIONAL HALF TO THREE
QUARTERS OF AN INCH POSSIBLE BEFORE RAIN CHANGES OVER TO SNOW
MONDAY AFTERNOON. ACCUMULATING SNOW IS LIKELY MONDAY EVENING
THROUGH TUESDAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 1 TO 4
INCH RANGE. THE FOLLOWING FORECAST IS BASED ON OBSERVED AND FORECAST
24 HOUR PRECIPITATION.
