THE POTENTIAL WILL EXIST FOR A PERIOD OF ACCUMULATING SNOW TO
DEVELOP ACROSS SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY
MORNING. AN ACCUMULATION FROM 1 TO 2 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE.

...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT THROUGH 7 AM MONDAY...

WEATHER...

 * MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOWFALL ALONG AND SOUTH OF M-59 WILL PERSIST
   AND EXPAND NORTHWARD LATE THIS AFTERNOON...EVENTUALLY REACHING
   THE I-69 CORRIDOR.

 * SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED BETWEEN 3 PM
   AND 6 PM. SNOWFALL NEAR 1 INCH PER HOUR IS EXPECTED.

 * NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 15 MPH GUSTING TO 25 MPH WILL RESULT IN BLOWING
   AND DRIFTING SNOW.

 * AIR TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE BETWEEN 15 AND 23 DEGREES.

IMPACTS...

 * HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MAY LEAD TO LOCALIZED WHITEOUT
   CONDITIONS. RAPID FLUCTUATIONS OF VISIBILITY WILL OCCUR.

 * THE NORTHEAST WINDS MAY LEAD TO DRIFTING OF SNOW ON ALL
   ROADWAYS PARTICULARLY IN LOCATIONS WITH OPEN EXPOSURE.

 * WIDESPREAD LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY
   HEAVY DURING THE AFTERNOON.

 * NORTHEAST WIND INCREASING TO GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH WILL ADD
   SUBSTANTIAL BLOWING AND DRIFTING.

 * THE PEAK IN SNOWFALL INTENSITY WILL OCCUR DURING THE LATE
   AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EVENING...WITH SNOWFALL REACHING AN INCH
   PER HOUR RATE.

 * SNOW WILL TAPER OFF EARLY MONDAY MORNING.

 * TOTAL ACCUMULATION OF 10 TO 14 INCHES.

 * WIND CHILL FALLING TO ABOUT 10 BELOW ZERO TONIGHT.

IMPACTS...

 * SNOW COVERED ROADS AND REDUCED VISIBILITY WILL RESULT IN
   DANGEROUS CONDITIONS FOR TRAVEL AND OUTDOOR ACTIVITY.

 * TRAVEL IS DISCOURAGED DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
   PEAK OF THE EVENT.

 * INCREASING DIFFICULTY FOR ROAD CREWS TO KEEP PACE WITH HIGH
