THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

AN ARCTIC AIR MASS MOVING ACROSS THE NORTHLAND WILL RESULT IN
DANGEROUS COLD WIND CHILLS TONIGHT. WHILE WINDS OVERALL WILL BE
VERY LIGHT...ACROSS THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD LIGHT WINDS WILL BE
STRONG ENOUGH TO RESULT IN WIND CHILL VALUES OF 20 TO 40 BELOW
ZERO...ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE TIP OF THE ARROWHEAD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORNING ANOTHER ARCTIC AIR MASS WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE REGION RESULTING IN DANGEROUSLY COLD
CONDITIONS...WITH TEMPERATURES APPROACHING 20 TO 30 BELOW ZERO.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW CONTINUES ACROSS THE WISCONSIN SNOW BELT...

AN ARCTIC AIR MASS IS BEARING DOWN ON THE NORTHLAND RESULTING IN
VERY COLD AIR AND LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS. IN NORTHEAST
MINNESOTA CLEAR SKIES WILL RESULT IN TEMPERATURES FALLING TO
10 TO 20 BELOW ZERO OR COLDER...AND WHILE WINDS WILL BE CALM
ACROSS MUCH OF NORTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA A LIGHT NORTH-NORTHWEST
WIND ACROSS THE MINNESOTA ARROWHEAD WILL RESULT IN DANGEROUS WIND
CHILLS APPROACHING 40 BELOW. ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE LAKE EFFECT
SNOW HAS DIMINISHED IN INTENSITY THIS AFTERNOON BUT WILL
REDEVELOP TONIGHT RESULTING IN LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW...MAINLY
ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF NORTHERN IRON COUNTY.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...EXPECT WIND CHILLS TO RANGE FROM 5 ABOVE
  ZERO TO 40 BELOW ZERO UNTIL 8 AM WEDNESDAY...WITH THE COLDEST
  WIND CHILLS OCCURRING AROUND 4 AM WEDNESDAY.

* IMPACTS...THE COLD WIND CHILLS WILL CAUSE FROSTBITE IN AS
  LITTLE AS 30 MINUTES TO EXPOSED SKIN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT COLD AIR AND THE WIND WILL
COMBINE TO CREATE LOW WIND CHILLS. FROST BITE AND HYPOTHERMIA CAN
OCCUR IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. MAKE SURE YOU WEAR A HAT AND
GLOVES.
