...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW TUESDAY...

.A FAST MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL BRING WIDESPREAD
ACCUMULATING SNOW AND STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS TO THE NORTHLAND
TUESDAY. THE GREATEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED FROM THE
BRAINERD LAKES...TO THE TWIN PORTS...AND ACROSS NORTHWEST
WISCONSIN. STRONG WINDS WILL DEVELOP TUESDAY
AFTERNOON...RESULTING IN REDUCED VISIBILITY.

TEMPERATURES WILL RAPIDLY FALL THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING...WITH
OVERNIGHT LOWS OF 5 TO 15 BELOW ZERO.

MIDNIGHT CST TUESDAY NIGHT...

* LOCATIONS...PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST MINNESOTA INCLUDING THE IRON
  RANGE AND THE ARROWHEAD.

* TIMING...SNOW WILL BEGIN AROUND 600 AM...WITH THE MAIN PERIOD OF
  ACCUMULATION EXPECTED FROM 800 AM THROUGH NOON. STRONG WINDS AND
  BLOWING SNOW WILL DEVELOP IN THE AFTERNOON

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 TO 4 INCHES.

* WINDS...BECOMING NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS AROUND 30
  MPH.

* VISIBILITIES...A QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL CONDITIONS WILL BECOME HAZARDOUS EARLY
  TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
VISIBILITIES WILL BE LIMITED DUE TO A COMBINATION OF FALLING AND
BLOWING SNOW. USE CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING...ESPECIALLY IN OPEN
AREAS THAT ARE MORE EXPOSED TO THE WIND. ROADS MAY BE SLICK AND
HAZARDOUS...SO ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

NORTHWEST WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOWFALL WILL BEGIN FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST
LATE TONIGHT. ONE TO TWO INCHES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY
MORNING.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

SNOWFALL WILL EXPAND ACROSS THE NORTHLAND THROUGHOUT TUESDAY
MORNING...WITH THE MOST INTENSE SNOWFALL DURING THE MID TO LATE
MORNING. ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL WILL TAPER OFF FROM WEST TO EAST IN
THE AFTERNOON. HOWEVER...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP AS THE
SNOWFALL TAPERS OFF...WHICH WILL CAUSE REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO
BLOW SNOW. STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL WILL BE GENERALLY 3 TO 5 INCHES
ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION...WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES IN NORTH CENTRAL
MINNESOTA TOWARDS THE INTERNATIONAL BORDER. PLEASE SEE THE LATEST
WINTER WEATHER STATEMENT FOR DETAILS.

VERY COLD TEMPERATURES WILL RETURN TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY.
WIND CHILL ADVISORIES MAY BE NEEDED DURING THIS TIME.
