A wintry mixture of snow, freezing drizzle, rain, and freezing
rain is falling over portions of northern Minnesota and northwest
Wisconsin this afternoon. This is producing some slick roads,
especially from International Falls and points south towards Deer
River, Virginia, and to Duluth in northeast Minnesota, and over
Fifield and Pine Lake in northwest Wisconsin. Vehicle accidents
have been reported across northeast Minnesota today due to the
slippery roads. If you must travel on area roads this afternoon,
be sure to allow extra time to reach your destination, and allow
plenty of space between you and other traffic.
