.The western portions of the Flood Watch are expiring as rain
continues to move eastwards over the next few hours. The areas most
susceptible to flooding continue to be where heavy rain fell earlier
this evening, mainly the southeastern to eastern Twin Cities metro,
greater Mankato area, and portions of Goodhue County.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Minnesota, including the following areas,
  Anoka, Benton, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Kanabec,
  Mille Lacs, Morrison, Ramsey, Scott, Sherburne, Washington and
  Wright and Wisconsin, including the following areas, Pierce, Polk
  and St. Croix.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central and
southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Severe weather is expected later today. The main threats are
tornadoes and damaging wind, especially in southern and eastern
MN, and western WI.

Heavy rain and flooding is also possible.

Western MN will have northwest wind gusts near 50 mph.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Heavy rainfall today will lead to rises on rivers and their
tributaries through the end of the week, with some river flooding
possible during Memorial Day weekend.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SKYWARN spotter activation will be needed later today.
