...STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS DEVELOPING...

.A WIND ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR PORTIONS OF WEST
CENTRAL...CENTRAL AND EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA FROM 10 AM
TO 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON. IN THE WAKE OF A VERY STRONG SUMMER
STORM SYSTEM THAT WILL MOVE ACROSS THE CANADIAN PRAIRIES
TODAY...GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP QUICKLY THIS MORNING.
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 35 MPH...WITH GUSTS OVER 40 MPH WILL
OCCUR IN THE ADVISORY AREA. A FEW GUSTS OF 45 TO 50 MPH WILL ALSO
BE POSSIBLE.

5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON.

* TIMING...10 AM TO 5 PM.

* WINDS...SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 35 MPH...WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 45
  MPH.

* IMPACTS...DRIVING MAY BECOME DIFFICULT AS WINDS BEGIN
  TO GUSTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT SUSTAINED WINDS OF 30 TO 39 MPH OR
GUSTS BETWEEN 45 AND 57 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG CAN
MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.
