MINNESOTA...EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA...SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA...
SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA...SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA...WEST CENTRAL
MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST WISCONSIN AND WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP ALONG A COLD FRONT MOVING ACROSS THE
AREA THIS AFTERNOON. SEVERE WEATHER... INCLUDING LARGE HAIL...
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS... AND A FEW TORNADOES... IS EXPECTED WITH THE
STRONGER STORMS THAT OCCUR. STORMS WILL MOVE WEST TO EAST ACROSS
THE AREA... FROM AROUND 3 PM TO 9 PM.

HEAT INDICES NEAR 100 WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF EAST CENTRAL AND
SOUTH CENTRAL MINNESOTA THIS AFTERNOON.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL RETURN TO THE AREA WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO
FRIDAY... BUT SEVERE WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

* TEMPERATURE...AIR TEMPERATURE 90 TO 95. HEAT INDICES 95 TO 100.

* IMPACTS...HEAT RELATED ILLNESS IS POSSIBLE IF PRECAUTIONS ARE
  NOT TAKEN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT A PERIOD OF HOT TEMPERATURES IS
EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
WILL COMBINE TO CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE

LIKELY BY AFTERNOON...

A VERY WARM AND HUMID AIRMASS WITH HIGHS IN THE MID 80S TO LOWER
90S AND DEW POINTS IN THE LOW TO MID 70S WILL LEAD TO A PERIOD OF
HEAT INDICES IN THE 95 TO 100 DEGREE RANGE IN THE EARLY TO MID
AFTERNOON.

ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO RAPIDLY
DEVELOP ACROSS WESTERN MINNESOTA DURING THE 1 TO 4 PM TIMEFRAME.
STORMS WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD AND STRONGER AS THEY HEAD INTO
SOUTH CENTRAL AND EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA IN THE 4 TO 7 PM
TIMEFRAME...AND WESTERN WISCONSIN BETWEEN 7 AND 10 PM. ALL MODES
OF SEVERE WEATHER ARE POSSIBLE INCLUDING LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING
WINDS...A FEW TORNADOES...AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL WITH LOCALIZED
FLASH FLOODING.

THOSE WITH OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD TAKE LONGER BREAKS AND DRINK
PLENTY OF WATER...OR AVOID THE HOTTER PERIODS OF THE DAY. ALSO...HAVE
A WAY TO RECEIVE WATCHES AND WARNINGS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE
ACTION QUICKLY AS STORMS APPROACH. RAPIDLY CHANGING CONDITIONS ARE
POSSIBLE SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA.
