URGENT - FIRE WEATHER MESSAGE

...EXTREME FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY...

.A VERY DRY AND WARM AIRMASS IS EXPECTED TO OVERSPREAD EASTERN
KANSAS AND NORTHERN AND WEST CENTRAL MISSOURI RESULTING IN RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES FALLING BELOW 25 PERCENT DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.
THIS COUPLED WITH VERY STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS GUSTING TO 40 MPH WILL
INCREASE THE POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS OVER THE
REGION.

  PERCENT FROM 1 PM THROUGH 6 PM.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AS LOW AS 23 PERCENT.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 50S TO UPPER 60S.

* IMPACTS...FIRS CAN START QUICKLY...SPREAD RAPIDLY AND BURN
  INTENSELY. ALL OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE AVOIDED IN RED FLAG
  CONDITIONS.
