* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  BOONE COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...
  MONITEAU COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* UNTIL 1000 AM CDT

* AT 709 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
  ANOTHER ROUND OF HEAVY RAINFALL TAKING AIM ON CENTRAL MISSOURI.
  THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL WILL DEPOSIT AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO
  2 INCHES OF RAINFALL ON TOP OF THE 2 TO 4 INCHES THAT OCCURRED
  OVERNIGHT.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO
  OCCUR...ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALL STREAMS AND NEAR LOW WATER
  CROSSINGS. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE MINOR FLOODING
  INCLUDE...ASHLAND...CALIFORNIA...CENTRALIA...COLUMBIA...TIPTON...
  CLARKSBURG...EASLEY...HALLSVILLE...HIGH POINT...JAMESTOWN...
  MCGIRK...MIDWAY...MURRY...ROCHEPORT AND STURGEON.

HINKSON CREEK IN COLUMBIA IS AT BANKFULL OR STARTING TO FLOOD LOW
LYING AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS
STORM WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND
STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...AS WELL AS FARMLAND ALONG THE BANKS OF
CREEKS AND STREAMS.

  IL. IN MISSOURI...AUDRAIN MO...BOONE MO...CALLAWAY MO...COLE
  MO...GASCONADE MO...KNOX MO...LEWIS MO...LINCOLN MO...MARION
  MO...MONITEAU MO...MONROE MO...MONTGOMERY MO...OSAGE MO...
  PIKE MO...RALLS MO...SHELBY MO AND WARREN MO.

* THROUGH THIS EVENING

* HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO COME IN WAVES OF THUNDERSTORMS TODAY
  AND INTO TONIGHT. RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES WITH
  LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE.

* HEAVY RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN FLOODING OF LOW LYING OR POOR
  DRAINAGE AREAS...AND ULTIMATELY DANGEROUS FLASH FLOODING ON
  SMALLER CREEKS AND STREAMS. SIGNIFICANT RISES ON LARGER
  STREAMS AND RIVERS WILL ALSO BE POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT FLASH FLOODING IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT
IMMINENT IN THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN THE WATCH AREA SHOULD BE
AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF HEAVY RAINFALL AND FLASH FLOODING.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE TODAY AND TONIGHT ACROSS THE
REGION. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS ARE THE PRIMARY THREATS.

HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING ARE ALSO POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT ACROSS
PORTIONS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST MISSOURI AS WELL AS WEST CENTRAL
AND SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT...PLEASE
REFER TO THE WATCH PRODUCT FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
