.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

A SIGNIFICANT WINTER STORM IS LIKELY ACROSS THE MID-SOUTH
WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT. A WINTER STORM WATCH HAS BEEN
POSTED NORTH OF A SAVANNAH TENNESSEE TO CLARKSDALE MISSISSIPPI
LINE. AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE MIDSOUTH TUESDAY
NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY. HEAVY RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE INITIALLY. AS
COLDER AIR MOVES IN RAIN WILL CHANGE TO A PERIOD OF SIGNIFICANT
WINTER PRECIPITATION WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY NIGHT. SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE...SLEET AND SNOW ARE LIKELY ACROSS MOST OF
THE MID-SOUTH.

MISSISSIPPI LATE WEDNESDAY...

AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL SURGE ACROSS THE REGION ON
WEDNESDAY...WITH TEMPERATURES EXPECTED TO FALL ACROSS NORTH
MISSISSIPPI DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS. THIS WILL
ALLOW RAIN TO CHANGEOVER TO FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET. ICE AND
SLEET ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE BEFORE THE PRECIPITATION
TAPERS OFF DURING THE OVERNIGHT. TIMING AND ACCUMULATION AMOUNTS
OVER THIS PORTION OF NORTH MISSISSIPPI ARE STILL IN QUESTION.
PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR ANY FUTURE FORECAST CHANGES OR UPDATES
