...HAZARDOUS AND FRIGID WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES EXPECTED AGAIN
TONIGHT...

.A long duration hard freeze is expected tonight with very cold
low temperatures expected to reach the mid teens to mid 20s over
the forecast area. Although winds will not be particularly strong
tonight and Thursday morning, it will not take much wind to lower
the wind chill values into the lower teens to possibly single
digits at times.

...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills expected. The cold wind chills can
  cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin.
  Expect wind chills to range from 5 to 15 degrees above zero.

* WHERE...Southeast Louisiana, southwest Mississippi and southern
  Mississippi.

* WHEN...Now to 9 AM Thursday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

A Hard Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are
imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of Southeast
Louisiana...South Mississippi and the adjacent coastal waters.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

A Hard Freeze Warning is in effect tonight and Thursday morning. Low
temperatures will range form the mid teens north to the mid 20s near
the Louisiana coast.

A Wind Chill Advisory is in effect tonight and Thursday morning.
Minimum wind chill values will range from 5 to 15 degrees above zero.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all the open coastal waters
as well as Breton and Chandeleur Sounds through midnight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Foggy conditions will be possible over the weekend ahead of the next
cold front which is expected by the start of next week. This front
will produce numerous showers and few thunderstorms Sunday night in
Monday morning.

Spotter activation is not anticipated.
