An eastward moving Pacific cold front will cross the continental divide late this morning and sweep east across central and southwest Montana this afternoon. Gusty west winds will increase further as the front passes with most locations seeing a period with 40 to 50 mph wind gusts this afternoon. Brief gusts to around 55 mph are likely over the mountains, including most passes, with isolated higher gusts possible. Be ready for strong crosswinds if traveling this afternoon, especially those with towing units or high profile vehicles. $$
