...LIGHT SNOW ARRIVING BY DAWN SATURDAY COULD LEAD TO TRICKY
TRAVEL...

LIGHT SNOW WILL MOVE INTO THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS...AND
FOOTHILLS BY DAWN SATURDAY....SPREADING TO THE BLUE RIDGE OF
VIRGINIA SHORTLY THEREAFTER. ALTHOUGH SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO BE
AN INCH OR LESS FOR MOST AREAS...THE TIMING OF THE SNOW IS GOING
TO ALLOW IT TO STICK TO UNTREATED ROADS...AS WELL AS BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES.

THOSE TRAVELING ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS AND FOOTHILLS EARLY SATURDAY
MORNING WILL NEED TO BE WARY OF SLICK ROADS.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA AND
SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

LIGHT SNOW WILL ARRIVE LATE TONIGHT AND COULD BRING UP TO AN INCH
TO THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

SOME ADDED LIGHT SNOW ACCUMULATION COULD OCCUR SATURDAY. IN
ADDITION...POCKETS OF FREEZING RAIN MAY DEVELOP LATE SUNDAY NIGHT
INTO EARLY MONDAY ESPECIALLY ALONG THE BLUE RIDGE. VERY STRONG
NORTHWEST WINDS BEHIND A COLD FRONT ARE LIKELY ON THURSDAY.
