...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* HEAT INDEX VALUES...105 to 109 degrees expected again this
  afternoon.

* TIMING...Temperatures will be slow to fall this morning with
lows this morning only reaching the mid to upper 70s. Heat index
values will return into the 105 to 109 degrees for a couple of
  hours this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...The heat and humidity may cause heat stress during
  outdoor exertion or extended exposure.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Hot temperatures and high humidity will create a
situation in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of
fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and
check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions...if you work or spend time outside. When
possible...reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or
evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat
stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when
possible and drink plenty of water. Fans are essential to move
the air for those without air conditioning.

Children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles.
Car interiors can reach lethal temperatures in a matter of
minutes. Bring pets indoors if possible, even if for just short
periods of time; and ensure they have access to drinking water,
which can evaporate from dishes very quickly in extreme heat.
