SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA.

A STORM SYSTEM MAY BRING ACCUMULATING SNOW TO THE AREA LATER
SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY. STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS MAY ALSO GUST TO
45 MPH ON MONDAY.

IN ADDITION...MINOR SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE POSSIBLE ON
THURSDAY.

.LOW PRESSURE OVER NEW ENGLAND CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN. IN ITS
WAKE...STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS ARE OCCURRING. THESE WINDS WILL
CONTINUE TO GUSTS TO AROUND 50 MPH ALONG THE RIDGE CRESTS. SOME
OF THE HIGHER PEAKS IN NORTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA MAY BE CLOSER TO
55 MPH INTO THIS EVENING.

* TIMING...THROUGH MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...TREES...BRANCHES OR POWER LINES MAY BE BLOWN DOWN.
  WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING CHALLENGING...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
  PROFILE VEHICLES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS SUSTAINED WINDS OF 31 TO 39 MPH...OR WIND
GUSTS OF 46 TO 57 MPH...ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG WILL
LIKELY CAUSE SPORADIC POWER OUTAGES AND CAN MAKE DRIVING
DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. UNFASTENED
ITEMS SUCH AS GARBAGE CANS AND LAWN FURNITURE SHOULD BE MOVED
INDOORS.
