THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

STRONG SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS MAY GUST AS HIGH AS 35 TO 45 MPH IN
ADVANCE OF AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT DURING THE DAY MONDAY. WIND
GUSTS OF THIS MAGNITUDE ARE CAPABLE OF KNOCKING DOWN OLD OR WEAKENED
TREES...ESPECIALLY WHEN THE GROUND IS SOAKED FROM RECENT RAINFALL.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL TRACK UP THE COAST OF THE CAROLINAS ON
WEDNESDAY. WHILE A COLD RAIN WILL BE THE PREDOMINANT PRECIPITATION
TYPE...THE RAIN MAY OCCASIONALLY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO WET SNOW DURING
THE MIDDAY TO EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS...WITH LITTLE TO NO ACCUMULATION.
LINGERING MOISTURE MAY RESULT IN PATCHY BLACK ICE ON BRIDGES AND
OVERPASSES...AS TEMPERATURES FALL INTO THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER
30S...LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING.
