   HEAT ADVISORY.

IN ADDITION... A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE OVER THE NORTHWEST AND NORTHERN PIEDMONT THIS AFTERNOON
AND EARLY EVENING. THE MAIN THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WIND. FREQUENT
LIGHTNING WILL ALSO POSE A SIGNIFICANT HAZARD.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

HEAT ADVISORIES MAY BE NECESSARY AGAIN ON FRIDAY AS THE HOT

  WILL LEAD TO AN INCREASED RISK OF HEAT RELATED ILLNESSES...
  ESPECIALLY AMONG VULNERABLE INDIVIDUALS SUCH AS THE SICK...
  THE ELDERLY... THOSE EXERTING THEMSELVES OUTDOORS... AND THOSE
  WITHOUT AIR CONDITIONING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HEAT ADVISORY MEANS THAT HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY
WILL CREATE A SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT ILLNESSES ARE LIKELY UNLESS
PRECAUTIONS ARE TAKEN. LIMIT TIME OUTDOORS... ESPECIALLY THIS
AFTERNOON. WEAR LOOSE FITTING AND LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING. TAKE
FREQUENT BREAKS IN THE SHADE... IN AIR CONDITIONING... OR NEAR A
FAN. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER.
