TO LESS THAN A MILE IN SPOTS THROUGH 9 AM.

SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING MAY
PRODUCE PERIODS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL. STREET FLOODING AND
RAPID RISES ON AREA CREEKS AND RIVERS ARE POSSIBLE.

REGION NORTHWARD TO THE VIRGINIA BORDER AND NORTHEASTWARD TO ROCKY
MOUNT AND ROANOKE RAPIDS. VISIBILITIES IN THIS AREA WILL BE
REDUCED TO LESS THAN A MILE... AND PERHAPS A HALF MILE OR LOWER IN
SOME SPOTS. DRIVERS IN THIS AREA SHOULD REDUCE THEIR SPEEDS AND
REMAIN ALERT FOR SUDDEN DROPS IN VISIBILITY THROUGH THIS MORNING.
