...COLD TEMPERATURES ACROSS MUCH OF THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS
TONIGHT...

.COLD AIR WILL FILTER INTO THE REGION AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS IN
FROM THE NORTHWEST. DIMINISHING WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO ALLOW
TEMPERATURES TO FALL INTO THE MID TO UPPER 30S OVERNIGHT...WITH
CONTINUED CLOUDINESS KEEPING TEMPERATURES FROM DROPPING BELOW
FREEZING ACROSS MOST LOCATIONS. HOWEVER...A FEW OF THE RIDGETOPS
AND HIGH MOUNTAIN PEAKS COULD REACH 32 DEGREES IN THE PRE-DAWN
HOURS.

* WINDS...NORTH 5 MPH OR LESS.

* IMPACTS...FROST COULD DAMAGE NEW OR TENDER VEGETATION.
