THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF
WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL BECOME GUSTY ACROSS THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS
THIS AFTERNOON INTO TONIGHT. THE WINDS WILL TURN SHARPLY TO THE
WEST THEN NORTHWEST OVERNIGHT BEHIND A PASSING COLD FRONT. VERY
WINDY CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY TOWARD DAYBREAK AND RAIN SHOWERS WILL
LIKELY CHANGE OVER TO SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING
HOURS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

..MONDAY...DAMAGING WINDS AND LIGHT SNOW POSSIBLE. STRONG
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE ON MONDAY...WITH LIGHT SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS ALSO EXPECTED IN THE MOIST...NORTHWEST UPSLOPE
FLOW. THE STRONG TO DAMAGING WINDS COULD PRODUCE SCATTERED TREE
DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES...AND SLIPPERY ROAD CONDITIONS MAY OCCUR
FROM THE SNOWFALL.
..TUESDAY...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
..WEDNESDAY...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
..THURSDAY...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
..FRIDAY...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
..SATURDAY...NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTERS MAY BE NEEDED TO RELAY WIND AND SNOW REPORTS TO THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE THROUGH MONDAY.
