This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northeast Georgia, the
mountains and foothills of western North Carolina, and Upstate South
Carolina.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

The atmosphere continues to destabilize late this afternoon across
the region ahead of an approaching cold front. Scattered to numerous
thunderstorms will develop, and some may become severe. The greatest
threat will be across the mountains and foothills of western North
Carolina.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

..Friday...Severe weather possible. A strong cold front will cross
the region Friday afternoon through Friday night. There is
considerable uncertainty over how thunderstorms will organize ahead
of the front. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat with
any storms that form, especially if lines of thunderstorms or
organized thunderstorm outflows develop. Locally heavy rain and
isolated flooding will be possible in any areas repeatedly affected
by thunderstorms.
..Saturday...No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
..Sunday...No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
..Monday...No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
..Tuesday...No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
..Wednesday...No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotters are asked to relay any reports of severe weather or flooding
to the National Weather Service.
