.SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE DAY
AS COLD AND MOIST NORTHWEST WINDS CONTINUE TO FLOW INTO THE
WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS. SOME ROADS WILL REMAIN SLIPPERY
IN SPOTS...PARTICULARLY AT HIGH ELEVATIONS. A WINTER WEATHER
ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT INTO THIS EVENING. LIKEWISE...GUSTY
NORTHWEST WINDS AND TEMPERATURES IN THE TEENS TO SINGLE DIGITS
WILL YIELD BITTERLY COLD WIND CHILL VALUES AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS

* LOCATIONS...THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS.

* IMPACTS...WIND CHILL VALUES COLDER THAN 5 DEGREES BELOW ZERO
  WILL MAKE IT DANGEROUS TO BE OUTSIDE ACROSS THE HIGH ELEVATIONS
  THURSDAY MORNING.

* WINDS...NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...AS LOW AS 8 BELOW DUE TO TEMPERATURES 11
  TO 24...AND WINDS NORTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40
  MPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND CHILL ADVISORY MEANS THAT VERY COLD AIR AND STRONG WINDS
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE LOW WIND CHILLS. THIS WILL RESULT IN
FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN.
