...WINTRY PRECIPITATION RETURNS LATER TONIGHT...

.COLD HIGH PRESSURE BUILD SOUTH INTO THE AREA AND PERSIST THROUGH
SUNDAY. SOUTHERLY FLOW OVER THE HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING IN
MOISTURE AND LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF WINTRY PRECIPITATION FROM
SOUTH TO NORTH ACROSS THE AREA TONIGHT. THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION
WILL CHANGE TO RAIN FROM SOUTH TO NORTH ACROSS THE AREA SUNDAY AS
WARMER TEMPERATURES SLOWLY MOVE BACK IN.

SUNDAY...

* LOCATIONS...THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS...AND SOUTHERN
  FOOTHILLS AND PIEDMONT OF NORTH CAROLINA...FAR NORTHEAST
  GEORGIA...AND MOST OF UPSTATE SOUTH CAROLINA.

* HAZARDS...FREEZING RAIN.

* TIMING...RAIN WILL BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD ACROSS THE AREA
  OVERNIGHT AND CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY MORNING...CHANGING TO
  FREEZING RAIN AS TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW FREEZING. TEMPERATURES
  WILL BE MOST CONDUCIVE TO FREEZING RAIN BETWEEN ABOUT 400 AM AND
  800 AM...BUT WILL CONTINUE UNTIL TEMPERATURES WARM ABOVE
  FREEZING. ALL PRECIPITATION SHOULD CHANGE TO RAIN BY NOON.

* ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO AN EIGHTH OF AN INCH OF ICE GLAZE.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS DUE TO SLICK ROADWAYS.
  ISOLATED POWER OUTAGES DUE TO DOWNED TREES OR POWER LINES.

* TEMPERATURES...LOWS IN THE UPPER 20S AND LOWER 30S.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 5 TO 10 MPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS. SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
