...CONDITIONS IMPROVING ON RIVERS AND STREAMS ACROSS THE MISSOURI
BASIN...

UNUSUALLY HIGH WATER ON RIVERS AND STREAMS ACROSS THE MISSOURI
BASIN EARLIER THIS WEEK HAVE DROPPED SIGNIFICANTLY LATE WEDNESDAY
AND INTO THURSDAY. THE THREAT OF HIGH WATER FROM ICE JAMS AND
STREAMFLOW WILL CONTINUE TO DECREASE INTO THE WEEKEND.

OTHER PROBLEMS OF INTEREST ARE THE RESERVOIRS AND SMALL LAKES THAT
ARE RISING DUE TO INCREASED INFLOW. ANGLERS WISHING TO FISH THESE
BODIES OF WATER SHOULD BE EXTRA CAREFUL AS WARM TEMPERATURES AND
RISING WATER RAPIDLY DETERIORATE ICE CONDITIONS NEAR THE SHORE.
ACCESS MAY BE DIFFICULT, IF NOT DANGEROUS. SOME, BUT NOT ALL, OF
THE LAKES THAT THIS IS A CONCERN FOR INCLUDE PATTERSON LAKE NEAR
DICKINSON, LAKE TSCHIDA, CAMELS HUMP, DAVIS DAM, AND OTHER SIMILAR
BODIES OF WATER.
