ICE JAMS ON THE PLATTE RIVER WERE PRODUCING FLOODING ALONG THE
SAUNDERS DOUGLAS COUNTY BORDER THIS MORNING. ADDITIONAL FLOODING
IS POSSIBLE INTO SARPY COUNTY TODAY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

THE PROBABILITY FOR WIDESPREAD HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS LOW.

  AN ICE JAM IN...
  SOUTHWESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...
  EASTERN SAUNDERS COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...
  WESTERN SARPY COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL NEBRASKA...

* UNTIL 1145 AM CST TUESDAY

* AT 246 AM CST...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED FLOODING ALONG THE
  PLATTE RIVER NEAR TWO RIVERS STATE PARK AND UPSTREAM TOWARD
  HIGHWAY 92 ALONG THE PLATTE RIVER IN WESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY. THE
  FLOODING WAS DUE TO AN ICE JAM. SOME HOMES WERE BEING EVACUATED
  AND MOTORISTS WERE STRANDED AT TWO RIVERS STATE PARK. ICE JAMS CAN
  RESULT IN RAPID RIVER RISES AND ARE DIFFICULT TO FORECAST. BE
  PREPARED FOR POSSIBLY SIGNIFICANT FLUCTUATIONS IN RIVER LEVELS

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO
HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO
FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
