...WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED FOR TONIGHT INTO MONDAY...

.LOW PRESSURE CENTERED OVER SOUTHERN ILLINOIS THIS AFTERNOON WILL
MOVE UP THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY TONIGHT AND ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA AND
NEW JERSEY ON MONDAY MORNING. THE SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO INTENSIFY
ON MONDAY AFTERNOON AS IT MOVES OVER THE COASTAL WATERS OF LONG
ISLAND AND SOUTHEASTERN NEW ENGLAND.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM THIS EVENING
TO 1 PM EST MONDAY...

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW, SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR 2 TO 6 INCHES
  OF SNOW.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A TENTH TO A
  QUARTER INCH OF ICE.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL MOVE INTO OUR REGION FROM THE WEST
  THIS EVENING. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO BECOME STEADIER AND
  HEAVIER OVERNIGHT AND IT SHOULD BEGIN TO MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO
  SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN LATE TONIGHT. THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION
  IS FORECAST TO MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO RAIN FOR A WHILE ON MONDAY
  MORNING AT MOST LOCATIONS BEFORE CHANGING BACK TO LIGHT SLEET
  AND SNOW ON MONDAY AFTERNOON. THE LIGHT SLEET AND SNOW SHOULD
  COME TO AN END ON MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR TONIGHT
  INTO MONDAY. THE WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS FORECAST TO HAVE A
  SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE. SHARPLY
  FALLING TEMPERATURES ON MONDAY AFTERNOON WILL REFREEZE ANY
  STANDING WATER ON ROADS, WALKWAYS AND PARKING LOTS.

* WINDS...A LIGHT SOUTHEAST WIND IS EXPECTED TO TURN GRADUALLY TO
  THE NORTHEAST THEN TO THE NORTHWEST DURING THE COURSE OF TONIGHT
  AND MONDAY MORNING. THE NORTHWEST WIND IS FORECAST TO INCREASE
  TO 10 TO 20 MPH ON MONDAY AFTERNOON.

* VISIBILITY...LESS THAN A HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* TEMPERATURES...MAINLY RANGING FROM THE UPPER 20S TO THE MIDDLE
  30S, THEN FALLING INTO THE 20S ON MONDAY AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

THIS WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS THAT SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW,
SLEET AND ICE ARE EXPECTED, MAKING TRAVEL VERY HAZARDOUS.
