DELAWARE...SOUTHERN DELAWARE...NORTHEAST MARYLAND...CENTRAL NEW
JERSEY...NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY...SOUTHERN NEW
JERSEY...EAST CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA...NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA AND
SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THE HOTTEST WEATHER OF THIS LATE MAY WARM SPELL WILL PROBABLY OCCUR
THIS AFTERNOON, INCLUSIVE OF THE FIRST HEAT WAVE OF THE SEASON FOR
THE PHILADELPHIA METRO AREA AND PARTS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY. THE
HEAT INDEX WILL RISE TO BETWEEN 90 AND 95 DEGREES ALONG THE INTERSTATE
95 CORRIDOR NORTHWARD INTO THE LEHIGH VALLEY AND NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY.
WHILE THIS IS SLIGHTLY BELOW ADVISORY CRITERIA, THE CUMULATIVE
EFFECT OF THIS FIRST OF THE SEASON THIRD CONSECUTIVE VERY WARM
DAY IN A ROW MAY TAKE A TOLL ON THE ELDERLY AND CHILDREN WITH
RESPIRATORY AILMENTS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR HEAVY RAIN AND LOCALIZED FLOODING

CATEGORY ACROSS NORTHERN AND INLAND PORTIONS OF NEW JERSEY DUE TO
LIGHT SOUTH WINDS, PARTLY SUNNY SKIES, HIGH BACKGROUND POLLUTANT
LEVELS, AND WARM TEMPERATURES. SENSITIVE INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING THE
VERY YOUNG, THE ELDERLY, AND PERSONS WITH RESPIRATORY DISEASES SUCH
AS ASTHMA, SHOULD AVOID STRENUOUS OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DURING THE
AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS.
