CUMBERLAND NJ-BURLINGTON NJ-
614 AM EDT FRI JUL 29 2016

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS ISSUED A

* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
CAMDEN COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
GLOUCESTER COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
CAPE MAY COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
ATLANTIC COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
SALEM COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
CUMBERLAND COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...
BURLINGTON COUNTY IN SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY...

* UNTIL 1015 AM EDT

* AT 612 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN AREA OF HEAVY RAIN THAT
WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. 1
TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN IS LOCALLY POSSIBLE IN THE ADVISORY AREA,
WHICH CAN CAUSE ROADWAY, POOR DRAINAGE AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE PONDING OF WATER IN
URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER
POOR DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL
ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
