.SOME OF THE HIGHEST ASTRONOMICAL TIDES OF THE YEAR ARE EXPECTED
INTO THE EARLY PART OF THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND WITH THE EVENING HIGH
TIDE CYCLES. SPOTTY MINOR COASTAL FLOODING IS POSSIBLE FOR
THURSDAY MORNING WITH MORE WIDESPREAD COASTAL FLOODING ANTICIPATED
FOR THURSDAY EVENING.

1 AM EDT FRIDAY...

* LOCATION...COASTAL AREAS OF NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE AND AREAS
  ALONG DELAWARE BAY.

* COASTAL FLOODING...SPOTTY MINOR FLOODING MAY OCCUR ON THURSDAY
  MORNING. WIDESPREAD MINOR FLOODING IS ANTICIPATED AROUND THE
  TIME OF HIGH TIDE ON THURSDAY EVENING.

* TIMING...HIGH TIDE ON THE NEW JERSEY AND DELAWARE OCEANFRONT
  OCCURS BETWEEN 7:45 PM AND 8:45 PM ON THURSDAY EVENING. HIGH
  TIDE ON THE BACK BAYS...ALONG DELAWARE BAY AND ALONG RARITAN BAY
  OCCURS LATER THAN THE HIGH TIDE ON THE OCEANFRONT.

* SURGE...NEAR 1 FOOT ABOVE THE ASTRONOMICAL TIDE.

* WAVES...WAVE HEIGHTS ON THE OCEAN WATERS OFF THE COAST ARE
  FORECAST TO BE 4 TO 6 FEET. WAVES HEIGHTS ON DELAWARE BAY ARE
  EXPECTED TO BE 2 TO 4 FEET.

* IMPACTS...ROADWAY FLOODING IS EXPECTED. SOME ROADS WILL BE
  CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.

* OUTLOOK...THERE IS A LIMITED POTENTIAL FOR MINOR COASTAL FLOOD
  AGAIN AROUND THE EVENING HIGH TIDE CYCLES ON FRIDAY AND
  SATURDAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS THAT MINOR TIDAL FLOODING IS
EXPECTED. MINOR TIDAL FLOODING OFTEN RESULTS IN SOME ROAD
CLOSURES. USUALLY...THE MOST VULNERABLE ROADWAYS WILL FLOOD.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AT A LOCATION THAT IS PRONE TO TIDAL
FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE THROUGH FLOOD WATERS. THE
WATER MAY BE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK IT IS. YOU WILL BE PUTTING
YOURSELF IN DANGER AND YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE DAMAGED...LEADING TO
COSTLY REPAIRS.
