...DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 8 PM PDT TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS ISSUED A DENSE SMOKE
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 8 PM PDT TUESDAY. A
DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS
EVENING.

* VISIBILITY: DROPPING TO NEAR ONE MILE AT TIMES...ESPECIALLY
  DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING WHEN ADDITIONAL SMOKE
  FROM THE KING FIRE IS MOST LIKELY TO SPREAD INTO WESTERN
  NEVADA.

* IMPACTS: PERIODS OF DENSE SMOKE WILL LIKELY RESULT IN UNHEALTHY
  AIR QUALITY WITH OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES DISCOURAGED. TRAVEL MAY BE
  IMPACTED DUE TO LOW VISIBILITY ON INTERSTATE 80...HIGHWAY 395...
  AND HIGHWAY 50.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A DENSE SMOKE ADVISORY IS ISSUED WHEN SMOKE FROM WILDFIRES
SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCES VISIBILITIES...MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE
AND BREATHE. THE SMOKE WILL CONTINUE TO BE A PROBLEM UNTIL THE
FIRE BECOMES LESS ACTIVE...OR A MORE FAVORABLE WEATHER PATTERN
DISPERSES THE SMOKE. PERSONS IN THE ADVISORY AREA SHOULD AVOID
PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO THE SMOKE AND STAY INDOORS.
