...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM TUESDAY TO 4 AM
EST WEDNESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BUFFALO HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN...WHICH IS
IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM TUESDAY TO 4 AM EST WEDNESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...EASTERN LAKE ONTARIO REGION.

* TIMING...FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW
  WILL DEVELOP AROUND MID AFTERNOON TUESDAY THEN CHANGE TO A
  WINTRY MIX TUESDAY NIGHT.

* HAZARDS...A MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATING 2 TO 4 INCHES...WITH UP TO 5
  INCHES ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN. ICE ACCUMULATION OF UP TO A
  TENTH OF AN INCH.

* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN A MILE AT TIMES.

* IMPACTS...SNOW CHANGING TO A WINTRY MIX WILL RESULT IN VERY
  SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ON UNTREATED ROADS...SIDEWALKS...AND PARKING
  LOTS. ROADS MAY BE VERY SLUSHY AND SLIPPERY FOR THE TUESDAY
  EVENING COMMUTE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NORMALLY ISSUED FOR A VARIETY OF
WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS SUCH AS SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.
WHILE THE WEATHER WILL BE SIGNIFICANT, THE WORD ADVISORY IMPLIES
THAT SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS NOT ANTICIPATED.

THE SHORT TERM FORECAST FOR THE EASTERN LAKE ONTARIO REGION. SNOW
SHOWERS EAST OF LAKE ONTARIO WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING
HOURS WITH AN ADDITIONAL INCH OR SO OF FRESH SNOW ACCUMULATION. AS
THIS LAKE SNOW ENDS...WESTERLY WINDS WILL INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON
BRINGING BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW. THIS BLOWING SNOW WILL BE
MOST PRONOUNCE ACROSS OPEN NORTH-SOUTH ROADS.
