Northern Cayuga-Oswego-Jefferson-
153 PM EDT Thu Jun 22 2017

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central New York.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

The probability of widespread hazardous weather is low.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop ahead of a cold front on
Friday and may bring a threat for heavy rain and gusty winds. There
is a Marginal Risk of both severe storms and excessive rainfall.

Lakeshore flood concerns will increase this weekend as period of
breezy westerly winds will develop Saturday afternoon and again
Sunday afternoon. Winds for Saturday appear marginal for producing
lakeshore flooding, while stronger winds Sunday may produce the
greater impact between the two days. Above normal lake levels when
combined with a strong onshore wind can worsen lake shore flooding
and enhanced wave action can result in further shoreline erosion.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
