SNOW WARNING...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 10 PM EST FRIDAY.
THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* LOCATIONS...NORTHERN ERIE AND GENESEE COUNTIES.

* TIMING...THE LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE
  TONIGHT THROUGH LATE FRIDAY EVENING FOR NORTHERN AND WESTERN
  GENESEE COUNTIES. THE WIND CHILL WATCH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE
  FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE SUNDAY MORNING.

* ACCUMULATIONS...AN INCH LATE TONIGHT...5 TO 10 INCHES
  FRIDAY...AND 2 TO 4 INCHES FRIDAY NIGHT...LEADING TO STORM
  TOTALS OF 7 TO 14 INCHES IN THE MOST PERSISTENT LAKE SNOWS.

* WINDS...WEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH LATE FRIDAY
  AND FRIDAY NIGHT.

* VISIBILITIES...AS LOW AS A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

* TEMPERATURES...LOWS AROUND ZERO FRIDAY NIGHT. HIGHS ZERO TO 5
  ABOVE SATURDAY. LOWS AROUND 10 BELOW SATURDAY NIGHT.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...AS LOW AS 30 BELOW LATE FRIDAY NIGHT AND
  SATURDAY.

* IMPACTS...LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MAY RESULT IN
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL AT TIMES WITH SNOW COVERED ROADS AND GREATLY
  REDUCED VISIBILITIES. WIND CHILLS WILL REACH DANGEROUS LEVELS.
  FRIGID TEMPERATURES HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO RESULT IN FROZEN
  PIPES...FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA.

* FORECASTER CONFIDENCE...FORECASTER CONFIDENCE IN THE WIND CHILL
  WATCH IS MEDIUM. WARMER WATERS OF LAKE ERIE MAY HOLD WIND CHILLS
  TO ADVISORY CRITERIA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

IN LAKE EFFECT SNOW THE WEATHER CAN VARY FROM LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW
IN NARROW BANDS TO CLEAR SKIES JUST A FEW MILES AWAY. IF YOU WILL
BE TRAVELING ACROSS THE REGION BE PREPARED FOR RAPID CHANGES IN
ROAD AND VISIBILITY CONDITIONS.

A WIND CHILL WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN STRONG WINDS WILL COMBINE WITH
COLD TEMPERATURES TO CREATE DANGEROUSLY COLD CONDITIONS FOR
EXPOSED SKIN. THE WIND WILL MAKE IT FEEL LIKE IT IS 15 DEGREES
BELOW ZERO OR COLDER FOR A PERIOD OF SEVERAL HOURS. IF YOU WILL
BE OUTDOORS USE COMMON SENSE AND DRESS WARMLY...MAKING SURE THAT
ALL EXPOSED SKIN IS COVERED. IF POSSIBLE...AVOID PROLONGED
EXPOSURE TO THE COLD TO PREVENT FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA.
