* LOCATIONS...ONONDAGA AND MADISON COUNTIES.

* HAZARDS...LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 5 INCHES OF SNOW.

* TIMING...A LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND WILL MOVE INTO SOUTHERN
  ONEIDA COUNTY AFTER MIDNIGHT...THEN MOVE TO THE SOUTH AND
  WEAKEN BY NOON FRIDAY.

* WINDS...WEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS AND POOR VISIBILITY MAKING TRAVEL
  DIFFICULT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE EFFECT SNOW IS FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS. LAKE EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE
INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP SEVERAL INCHES IN LOCALIZED AREAS. USE
CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING.

SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE FINGER LAKES, THE WESTERN
MOHAWK VALLEY, AND THE UPPER SUSQUEHANNA REGION. THE HEAVIER SNOW
SHOWERS COULD REDUCE THE VISIBILITY TO A QUARTER MILE, AND
DROP A QUICK HALF INCH OF SNOWFALL. TRAVELERS SHOULD BE ALERT TO
RAPIDLY CHANGING ROAD CONDITIONS THIS EVENING.
