THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS
AFTERNOON TO 5 PM EST FRIDAY.

* LOCATIONS...ONEIDA...ONONDAGA...SOUTHERN CAYUGA...SENECA...
  CORTLAND...CHENANGO...MADISON...AND OTSEGO COUNTIES.

* HAZARDS...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW.

* TIMING...SNOW STARTS LATE TODAY THEN CONTINUES ALL NIGHT. SNOW
  WILL TRANSITION TO LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS FRIDAY MORNING.

* TEMPERATURES...20S TONIGHT BUT FALLING THROUGH THE TEENS FRIDAY.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 MPH...
  BECOMING NORTHWEST FRIDAY. WIND CHILL TEMPERATURES WILL FALL
  BELOW ZERO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL MAKE ROADS SLIPPERY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

PLEASE LISTEN TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR GO TO WEATHER.GOV ON THE
INTERNET FOR MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE FOLLOWING HAZARDS.

   WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.

A PASSING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE A FEW TO SEVERAL INCHES
OF SNOW ACCUMULATION LATE TODAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT. THIS WILL
BE FOLLOWED BY AN ARCTIC BLAST FRIDAY WITH GUSTY WINDS...SNOW
SHOWERS AND BLOWING SNOW...AS WELL AS FALLING TEMPERATURES. WIND
CHILLS ARE EXPECTED TO REACH THE MID TEENS TO AROUND 20 BELOW ZERO
BY FRIDAY NIGHT...WHICH WILL TRIGGER AT LEAST A WIND CHILL
ADVISORY.

COLD CONDITIONS WILL LAST INTO THE WEEKEND WITH ANOTHER SYSTEM
POTENTIALLY AFFECTING THE AREA SUNDAY INTO MONDAY. HOWEVER AT THIS
TIME CONFIDENCE ON THE DETAILS WITH THIS STORM IS LOW.
