THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR CENTRAL NEW YORK.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

...SNOW POSSIBLE FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING...
LOW PRESSURE WILL TRACK FROM THE OHIO VALLEY FRIDAY TO OFF THE NEW
ENGLAND COAST BY SATURDAY. THIS LOW WILL SPREAD A MIX OF RAIN AND
SNOW TO THE REGION FRIDAY EVENING WHICH WILL CHANGE TO ALL SNOW
BEFORE TAPERING TO SNOW AND RAIN SHOWERS ON SATURDAY. THE
POTENTIAL EXISTS FOR BETWEEN 2 AND 5 INCHES OF SNOW...WITH THE
HIGHEST AMOUNTS EXPECTED OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

...FLOOD POTENTIAL WILL BE INCREASING FOR THE REMAINDER OF THIS
WEEK...

WARMER WEATHER LATE THIS WEEK... ALONG WITH RAIN SHOWERS TONIGHT
AND FRIDAY WILL RESULT IN RISING RIVER LEVELS AND THE POTENTIAL
FOR LOCALIZED ICE JAM FLOODING ACROSS THE REGION BY FRIDAY. ENOUGH
SNOW REMAINS OVER HIGHER ELEVATIONS IN CENTRAL NEW YORK SO THAT
MELTING SNOW TONIGHT AND FRIDAY WILL ALSO BE A CONCERN. FLOOD
POTENTIAL WILL NEED TO BE MONITORED LATE THIS WEEK DURING THIS
PERIOD OF THAWING CONDITIONS. COLDER WEATHER WILL RETURN OVER THE
WEEKEND REDUCING THE FLOOD THREAT.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
