THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM SUNDAY TO
4 PM EST MONDAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTHERN FINGER LAKES AND WESTERN MOHAWK VALLEY
  REGIONS...INCLUDING THE SYRACUSE METRO AREA.

* HAZARDS...HEAVY SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...STORM TOTALS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES.

* TIMING...STEADY LIGHT SNOW WILL OVERSPREAD THE REGION DURING THE
  LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING HOURS ON SUNDAY...GENERALLY
  BETWEEN 4 AND 8 PM. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL LATE SUNDAY
  NIGHT AND MONDAY MORNING...WHEN SNOWFALL RATES OF AN INCH PER
  HOUR ARE POSSIBLE. SNOW WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF BY MID TO LATE
  AFTERNOON ON MONDAY.

* TEMPERATURES...MAINLY IN THE TEENS LATE SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND
  EARLY EVENING...THEN RANGING FROM 5 TO 15 ABOVE LATE SUNDAY
  NIGHT AND MONDAY.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SLIPPERY TRAVEL CONDITIONS FROM SNOW COVERED ROADS AND
  WALKWAYS.

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW...
SLEET...AND ICE ARE EXPECTED OR OCCURRING.  THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL
