...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of northern New York and Vermont, including the
  following areas, in northern New York, Eastern Clinton,
  Eastern Essex, Northern Franklin, Northern St. Lawrence,
  Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, Southwestern St.
  Lawrence, Western Clinton, and Western Essex. In Vermont,
  Caledonia, Eastern Addison, Eastern Chittenden, Eastern
  Franklin, Eastern Rutland, Essex, Grand Isle, Lamoille,
  Orange, Orleans, Washington, Western Addison, Western
  Chittenden, Western Franklin, Western Rutland, and Windsor.

* Through Sunday evening.

* Minor to locally moderate flooding is possible due to the
  combination of rapid snow melt and rainfall amounts between a
  half and one inch. The flood threat will be highest on rivers
  and streams where ice breakup occurs, primarily across
  northeast New York and northern Vermont, especially north of
  U.S. Route 2. Note that localized ice jam flooding could begin
  as early as this evening, while the bulk of any freshwater
  flooding is expected Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.

...Areas of Dense Fog through the Overnight Hours...

Areas of very dense fog are occurring and will continue until a
warm front pushes north of the region this morning. Expect
visibilities of less than one quarter mile at times. Very low
visibilities will make driving hazardous across the North Country.
If you must travel, slow down and leave plenty of distance ahead
of you.
