...SNOWSTORM EXPECTED FROM DAYBREAK TO LATE TONIGHT WHICH WILL
SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT HOLIDAY TRAVEL...

.A COASTAL STORM WILL BRING HEAVY SNOW TO MUCH OF NORTHEAST
PENNSYLVANIA AND THE WESTERN CATSKILLS FROM DAYBREAK INTO THE
EVENING. FARTHER NORTH AND WEST... LESS SNOW IS EXPECTED. THE
SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER DOWN TO SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS LATE
TONIGHT. THIS STORM WILL SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACT HOLIDAY TRAVEL TODAY
AND TONIGHT IN NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA AND MUCH OF CENTRAL NEW YORK
ESPECIALLY SOUTH AND EAST OF A UTICA TO WAVERLY LINE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR HEAVY SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM
EST THURSDAY.

* LOCATIONS...CORTLAND, MADISON, AND SOUTHERN ONEIDA COUNTIES.

* HAZARDS...SIGNIFICANT SNOWFALL.

* ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW.

* TIMING...SNOW BEGINNING BETWEEN 10 AM AND 1 PM, THEN CONTINUING
  THROUGH THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING BEFORE TAPERING OFF TO SNOW
  SHOWERS LATE TONIGHT.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S.

* WINDS...NORTH 5 TO 10 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY ROADS MAKING FOR HAZARDOUS
  HOLIDAY TRAVEL THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW...SLEET...OR
FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
