403 AM EST Fri Nov 17 2017

Northern Oneida-Onondaga-Madison-Southern Oneida-
403 AM EST Fri Nov 17 2017

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A strong cold front will blast through the region early Sunday
morning. This may produce gusts of 40 to 50 mph, which if realized
could lead to scattered power outages in the area Sunday. The
incoming cold air mass will produce accumulating lake effect snow
and blowing snow east and southeast of Lake Ontario Sunday into
Monday. Though snow showers will begin Sunday, at this time the main
accumulation period appears to be late Sunday through midday Monday.
It remains too early for specifics on snowfall amounts or exact
locations. Continue to monitor the forecast for updates on the
expectations for both the snow and wind.

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
