TUESDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BINGHAMTON HAS ISSUED A FREEZING
RAIN ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 10 PM EST
TUESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE SOUTHERN TUG HILL REGION, THE WESTERN MOHAWK
  VALLEY, OTSEGO COUNTY, AND THE WESTERN CATSKILLS OF NEW YORK.

* HAZARD TYPES...FREEZING RAIN.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...MOSTLY LESS THAN 0.1 INCHES, WITH LOCALLY
  0.1 TO 0.25 INCHES OVER THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS.

* TIMING...AN AREA OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL
  OVERSPREAD THE REGION EARLY TUESDAY MORNING, GENERALLY BETWEEN 6
  AND 8 AM. TEMPERATURES WILL SLOWLY RISE ABOVE FREEZING TUESDAY
  AFTERNOON, OR PERHAPS EARLY IN THE EVENING, WITH AT LEAST
  PATCHES OF FREEZING RAIN EXPECTED TO CONTINUE THROUGH 7 TO 10
  PM, PARTICULARLY OVER THE HIGHER TERRAIN.

* IMPACTS...UNTREATED SURFACES WILL BECOME SLIPPERY.

* WINDS...SOUTHEAST 10 TO 15 MPH, WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FREEZING RAIN ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF FREEZING RAIN OR
FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
SLIPPERY ROADS. SLOW DOWN AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
