...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 10 AM EDT
SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for light freezing rain, which is in effect from
4 AM to 10 AM EDT Sunday.

* LOCATIONS...The Mohawk Valley and western Catskill Mountains.

* HAZARD TYPES...Light freezing rain.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Spotty accumulations less than a tenth of inch.

* TIMING...Late tonight through Sunday morning.

* IMPACTS...Hazardous travel.

* WINDS...East 5 to 10 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...Around 30.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of light freezing
rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery
roads, and use caution while driving.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Spotty areas of light freezing rain could occur late tonight into
Sunday morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday.

Gradually warming temperatures are expected from Sunday into next
week. This will trigger substantial melting of our existing snow
cover. This melting snow will also be accompanied by periods of
rain.

Runoff into area rivers and streams may be enough to create the
potential for minor flooding from Sunday through Wednesday. If you
live in an area sensitive to flooding, please continue to monitor
developing conditions over the next several days.
