This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Adirondacks,
Mohawk Valley region, eastern Catskills, Schoharie Valley and
Helderbergs, the Capital and Saratoga region and the Taconics.

In addition, an approaching frontal boundary will allow for showers
and thunderstorms on Tuesday, especially during the afternoon and
evening hours. There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms. The
main threat with any thunderstorm will be damaging winds, although an
isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Also, any thunderstorm will be capable of producing heavy rainfall
within a short period of time. Minor flooding of urban, small stream
and low lying areas is likely on Tuesday.

Spotter activation will likely be needed on Tuesday.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 PM EDT
TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 PM EDT
Tuesday.

* Locations...southwest Adirondacks, Mohawk Valley region, eastern
  Catskills, Schoharie Valley and Helderbergs, the Capital and
  Saratoga region, Taconics, northern Litchfield Hills, Berkshires
  and southern Greens.

* Winds...south to southeast at 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
  mph.

* Timing...late tonight into late Tuesday afternoon.

* Impacts...Strong winds may blow down tree limbs, trees, and
  power lines. Scattered power outages are possible. Driving may
  be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of 46 to 57 mph are
expected. Winds this strong can make driving
difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra
caution.
