HERE IS A SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE...CONCERNING A QUICK FREEZE MONDAY MORNING...

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL WHIP THROUGH THE MIDDLE OHIO VALLEY
OVERNIGHT...AND THE CENTRAL APPALACHIANS EARLY MONDAY MORNING.
TEMPERATURES WILL DROP QUICKLY BELOW FREEZING MONDAY MORNING.

AFTER THE WET NIGHT...QUICK HITTING SNOW SHOWERS WILL CAUSE ROADS
TO QUICKLY BECOME ICY AND SNOW COVERED...ESPECIALLY ON
BRIDGES...OVERPASSES AND UNTREATED SURFACES. THIS WILL OCCUR
DURING THE MONDAY MORNING RUSH AS FAR SOUTH AND EAST AS THE OHIO
RIVER...AND DOWN TO ABOUT 3000 FEET IN THE MOUNTAINS.
ELSEWHERE...THESE SNOW SHOWERS WILL HIT LATER MONDAY
MORNING...AFTER THE MORNING RUSH.

ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO DRIVE SLOWER AND SAFER...STAY TUNED FOR LATER
UPDATES TO THE FORECAST...AND CHECK AREA TEMPERATURES AND RADAR

HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS NOT EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW EARLY MONDAY MORNING AS MUCH COLDER AIR
ARRIVES...THIS WILL BE JUST IN TIME TO PRODUCE SNOW AND BLOWING
SNOW FOR THE MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE. THE CURRENT FORECAST IS JUST
SHY OF ADVISORY CRITERIA...HOWEVER DUE TO THE FLUFFY NATURE OF THE
SNOW...IT MAY ACCUMULATE MORE QUICKLY THAN FORECAST. SHOULD
CONFIDENCE INCREASE IN A MORE EFFICIENT SNOW ACCUMULATION...A
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MAY BE NEEDED.
