...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northern Oklahoma, including the following
  county, Kay.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 804 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Ponca City, Newkirk, Kaw City, Braman, Kildare, Kaw Lake,
    Peckham and Blackwell Lake.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of northern...
western...central...and southern Oklahoma...and western north
Texas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight...

.Thunderstorms...
Widespread thunderstorms are expected to begin late this
afternoon through the overnight hours. Some of these storms could
become severe with up to 80 mph downburst or microburst wind gusts
and up to baseball size hail as the two main severe hazards. The
severe risk expected to decrease well before sunrise.

.Flooding...
There is a risk for localized flooding this evening and tonight
wherever multiple rounds of thunderstorms end up occurring.


.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday...

.Thunderstorms...
Thunderstorms will be ongoing Thursday morning persisting through
Friday. Some of the storms on Thursday afternoon through the
evening could be low-end severe but limited across western north
Texas, with large hail & damaging wind gusts as the primary severe
hazards.

Thunderstorm chances will be returning both Sunday and Monday
nights across parts of northern Oklahoma.

.Flooding...
Localized flooding will be possible on Thursday primarily across
central and southern Oklahoma and western north Texas.
