.DAY ONE...THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT...

.FLOODING...
WIDESPREAD FLOODING IS OCCURRING ACROSS MUCH OF WESTERN...
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHERN TEXAS. THE FLOOD THREAT
WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXACERBATED WHERE EVER HEAVY RAIN OCCURS...
AND AREA RIVERS AND STREAMS WILL SEE RISES AND ADDITIONAL
FLOODING. THIS IS A LIFE THREATENING FLOOD SITUATION. DEADLY FLASH
FLOODING IS LIKELY... WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS... TURN
AROUND DONT DROWN.

.THUNDERSTORMS...
THERE REMAINS A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING.
THE SLIGHT RISK IS GENERALLY SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM SAYRE TO
WATONGA TO ENID TO PERRY... AND WEST OF A LINE FROM HOLDENVILLE TO
LAKE TEXOMA. THE SLIGHT RISK INCLUDES ALL OF WESTERN NORTH TEXAS.
A MARGINAL RISK COVERS MOST OF THE REST OF OKLAHOMA. THERE IS A
MEDIUM THREAT FOR TORNADOES... AS LOW STORM BASES... DECENT MOIST
AIR AND SHEAR WILL SUPPORT TORNADO DEVELOPMENT WITH THE STRONGEST
STORMS THROUGH THIS EVENING. HAIL UP TO HALF DOLLAR SIZE AND WIND
GUSTS UP TO 70 MPH ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  OKLAHOMA COUNTY IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 100 AM CDT

* AT 1029 PM CDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED FLASH FLOODING
  ACROSS MOST OF OKLAHOMA COUNTY... INCLUDING THE OKLAHOMA CITY
  METRO. THIS IS A DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION.
  NUMEROUS ROADS... BUSINESSES AND HOMES ARE FLOODED. LAW
  ENFORCEMENT HAS REPORTED NUMEROUS WATER RESCUES ARE UNDERWAY.
  PLEASE SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY AND TURN AROUND DONT DROWN.
  UP TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN.

The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The North Canadian River near Yukon.

* from late tonight to Sunday afternoon...or until the warning is
  cancelled.

* At 9:30 PM Saturday the stage was 9.2 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* Forecast...The North Canadian River will rise above flood stage
  early Sunday morning and crest near 15.0 feet mid Sunday morning.
  The North Canadian River will fall below flood stage late Sunday
  morning.

* Impact...At 15.0 feet...Flooding or isolation of suburban home
  sites and rural areas along the North Canadian River valley
  occurs...from near Banner Road to the headwaters of Lake
  Overholser. The Garth Brooks Avenue crossing northwest of town is
  closed by floodwaters. Low-lying rural roads are closed by flood
  depths near 3 feet with dangerously swift currents.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The North Canadian River at Oklahoma City.

* from late tonight to Monday evening...or until the warning is
  cancelled.

* At 9:00 PM Saturday the stage was 13.4 feet.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

* Forecast...The North Canadian River will rise above flood stage
  early Sunday morning and crest near 21.7 feet mid Sunday morning.
  The North Canadian River will fall below flood stage late Monday
  afternoon.

* Impact...At 22.0 feet...Croplands...pastures...and rural roads
  east of Oklahoma City near the towns of Spencer and Jones are
  inundated by significant overflow depths. Spencer is not affected
  by floodwaters...while shallow flooding may reach the outskirts of
  Jones.

* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

* Forecast...The North Canadian River will rise above flood stage
  late Sunday morning and crest near 19.5 feet Sunday evening. The
  North Canadian River will fall below flood stage late Tuesday
  afternoon.

* Impact...At 20.0 feet...Very severe flooding affects agricultural
  areas in eastern Oklahoma County...the southwest corner of Lincoln
  County...and northwestern Pottawatomie County.
