POSSIBLE LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

ANOTHER STRONG COLD FRONT WILL SURGE THROUGH OKLAHOMA AND NORTH
TEXAS THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. AS THIS OCCURS...VERY COLD AIR
WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION. A SERIES OF UPPER STORM SYSTEMS WILL
MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PLAINS TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON...BRINGING WIDESPREAD WINTRY PRECIPITATION TO MUCH OF
OKLAHOMA AND NORTH TEXAS. RAIN WILL TRANSITION TO A WINTRY MIX OF
SLEET...FREEZING RAIN...AND EVENTUALLY SNOW...FROM NORTH TO
SOUTH...AS THE COLD AIRMASS DEEPENS LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. ACCUMULATIONS OF SNOW...SLEET...AND FREEZING RAIN WILL
BE POSSIBLE OVER MUCH OF THE REGION. CURRENT FORECAST
ACCUMULATIONS ARE ONE TO THREE INCHES OF SNOW AND SLEET ACROSS
PARTS OF NORTHERN... CENTRAL... AND SOUTHWEST OKLAHOMA... WITH
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE. AN ACCUMULATION OF ICE WILL ALSO
BE POSSIBLE WITH AMOUNTS RANGING FROM A GLAZE TO AROUND FIFTEEN
HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH IN PARTS OF SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN
NORTH TEXAS. THERE ARE STILL SOME QUESTIONS WHERE THE HEAVIEST
AMOUNTS OF SNOW AND ICE WILL OCCUR AND JUST HOW MUCH THAT WILL BE
BUT SLICK AND HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS SEEM LIKELY ACROSS
PARTS OF OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS OVERNIGHT AND THROUGH
THE DAY ON WEDNESDAY. MONITOR THE FORECAST CLOSELY AS DETAILS
REGARDING THIS WINTER WEATHER EVENT WILL LIKELY CHANGE... WITH
ADVISORIES AND POSSIBLY WARNINGS BEING ISSUED. FOLLOW NWS NORMAN

WESTERN...CENTRAL...AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA...AND WESTERN NORTH
TEXAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT...

.REDUCED VISIBILITIES... AREAS OF FOG AND DRIZZLE WILL OCCUR TUESDAY
MORNING. VISIBILITES ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN GREATER THAN 1/2 MILE.

.THUNDERSTORMS... ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MAY OCCUR TUESDAY EVENING
SOUTH OF ATOKA AND TISHOMINGO. THE MAIN CONCERN WOULD BE CLOUD-TO-
GROUND LIGHTNING.

.WINTER WEATHER...A MIX OF FREEZING AND FROZEN PRECIPITATION IS
EXPECTED TO BEGIN TUESDAY EVENING. SLEET AND SNOW ACCUMULATION IS
EXPECTED TO BE LESS THAN 1 INCH. FREEZING RAIN FROM SOUTHWEST TO
CENTRAL OKLAHOMA WILL LIKELY PRODUCE A LIGHT GLAZE ON ALL EXPOSED
SURFACES.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...

.WINTER WEATHER... A MIX OF FREEZING AND FROZEN PRECIPITATION WILL
CONTINUE MOST OF WEDNESDAY. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE
LESS THAN 3 INCHES...BUT SMALL AREAS OF WESTERN OR CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
COULD SEE SLIGHTLY MORE. ICE ACCUMULATIONS IN SOUTHERN
OKLAHOMA MAY APPROACH .15 INCH. TRAVEL PROBLEMS ARE EXPECTED.
