URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM THIS EVENING
ABOVE 4500 FEET...

* TIMING...Rain or snow will continue this morning, then
  transition to showers this afternoon. Heaviest precipitation
  will be this morning until early afternoon.

* SNOW LEVEL..4500 to 5000 feet.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 to 6 inches for the Santiam and
  Willamette Passes. Heavier accumulations will occur for the
  higher ski resort elevations, where 6 to 12 inches of snow are
  expected. Heaviest totals are likely to occur Mount Jefferson
  southward.

* WINDS...West wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph on
  exposed ridges.

* IMPACTS...Expect roads above 4500 feet to be snow covered at
  times today into this evening. This afternoon, snow
  accumulations will become more slushy on roads, such as Highway
  58 at Willamette Pass and Highway 20 over Santiam Pass.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.
