...MUCH COLDER LOW TEMPERATURES EXPECTED OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL
NIGHTS...

A COLD FRONT TONIGHT WILL RESULT IN OVERNIGHT LOW TEMPERATURES IN
THE TEENS IN THE MOUNTAINS AND 20S ELSEWHERE. IT WILL ACTUALLY FEEL
MUCH COLDER IN PARTS OF THE LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN WHERE A NORTHERLY
WIND AT 10 TO 20 MPH BRINGS WIND CHILLS DOWN INTO THE TEENS. ON
TUESDAY NIGHT...TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS AND
TEENS...AND A FEW LOCATIONS MAY BEAT THEIR RECORD LOW TEMPERATURES.
THE COLDEST LOW TEMPERATURES WILL BE ABOUT 10 TO 20 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR...AND SEVERAL LOCATIONS HAVE NOT SEEN
TEMPERATURES THIS COLD SINCE EARLY JANUARY.

ANY EARLY SEASON VEGETATION THAT MAY HAVE BEGUN TO GROW WILL BE
IN DANGER OF BEING DAMAGED DURING THIS PERIOD. IF YOU CAN...MOVE
ANY SENSITIVE VEGETATION INDOORS AWAY FROM THE COLD...OR PROTECT
IT THE BEST YOU CAN. IF YOU MUST BE OUTSIDE OVERNIGHT OR DURING
THE EARLY MORNING HOURS BE SURE TO BE PREPARED FOR THE COLDER
TEMPERATURES AND DRESS WARMLY. DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS EACH DAY
TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO RECOVER NICELY TO NEAR TO SLIGHTLY
BELOW SEASONAL LEVELS.
