TO 10 PM EST THIS EVENING...

* LOCATIONS...THE RARITAN VALLEY...THE LEHIGH VALLEY...BERKS
  COUNTY AND THE FAR NORTHERN AND WESTERN PHILADELPHIA SUBURBS.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 8 INCHES.

* TIMING...A RAIN SNOW MIX WILL BEGIN THIS MORNING. IT WILL
  QUICKLY CHANGE TO PERIODS OF HEAVY WET SNOW FROM MID DAY THROUGH
  THE LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO TAPER OFF FROM
  SOUTH TO NORTH THIS EVENING.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE MID 30S.

* IMPACTS...ONCE THE HEAVY SNOW BEGINS...TRAVEL IN THESE AREAS
  WILL BE VERY DIFFICULT. ANYONE WITH TRAVEL PLANS ARE URGED TO
  CONSIDER ALTERING THEIR PLANS...OR TRAVEL AFTER ROADS ARE
  CLEARED ON THURSDAY. SNOW COULD OBSCURE ROAD SIGNS. THERE IS A
  CHANCE THE WET SNOW COULD KNOCK DOWN A FEW TREE LIMBS AND RESULT
  IN POWER OUTAGES.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 15 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 25 MPH.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER STORM WARNING MEANS SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW ARE
EXPECTED. GUSTY WINDS ARE ALSO POSSIBLE. THIS WILL MAKE TRAVEL
VERY HAZARDOUS OR IMPOSSIBLE.

MIXING IN AT TIMES LATER THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO
UPPER 30S NOW ARE EXPECTED TO DROP INTO THE LOWER TO MID 30S
THROUGH THE MORNING. NORTHEAST WINDS AROUND 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS
AROUND 15 TO 20 MPH WILL CONTINUE AS WELL. DRIVERS ARE URGED TO
USE CAUTION AND BE ALERT FOR CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND
ROADWAY CONDITIONS.
